& Counseling Services.

Addressing the whole self to live life with acceptance and authentic joy.

Underlying needs such as stress, burnout, anxiety, depression, trauma, and neurodiversity can deeply impact our ability to thrive. My practice offers individual and small group counseling services to support you in healing, growing, and feeling empowered. My goal is to guide and encourage you in re-connecting with yourself, your WHOLE SELF. My specialities include: anxiety, depression, stages of grief and loss, trauma and sexual assault recovery, and moving through major life changes/transitions. Many of my clients are adults and young professionals on a journey toward their purpose, seeking counseling to create a life that feels meaningful, and working on connecting with others in deep ways. Although I am a therapist by licensure, I identify as a healer. -My work integrates mind-body-soul through mindfulness, movement, and reflection. However, every client is unique and each session it’s own experience.

Although you may feel lonely or isolated in the present, you are not alone. I am here to support you and to help you reconnect with inner peace. Read more about my approach below and Contact Me to get started.

What I do: Dance/Movement Therapy and Clinical Counseling.

Don’t let the title “scare” you… Meeting with me will not be a dance class or even a workout (unless you want it to be)! With dual credentials as a Board Certified - Dance/Movement Therapist (BC-DMT) and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), I have a unique skill set that allows me to provide integrated, creative, and highly impactful therapy and counseling services. My approach utilizes your knowledge and experiences in your body (senses, feelings, movement patterns) and components of traditional "talk" therapies.

  • Sessions are provided individually and customized to address your specific needs and goals. Read more below.

  • Small group services are available for adolescents and adults. General themes of self-awareness, acceptance, and growth are addressed to increased well-being, community, and support. New groups forming regularly; contact me for more details.

Keep reading to find out more or Contact Me to get started.

All sessions are being held virtually at this time. In-person sessions may be available periodically.

Therapeutic Approach

Therapeutic Approach

Approaches to therapy + counseling.

Integrative counseling style, from a whole person perspective.

  • Dance/movement therapy, mindfulness, and self-expression. (This is NOT dance class, but we will build awareness around the mind-body-spirit connection.)

  • Components cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical-behavioral therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care, Jungian and Gestalt approaches, and humanistic therapy techniques (person-centered therapy, positive psychology, spiritual psychology, and existential therapy).

  • A focus on holistic health and well-being. -Lifestyle greatly impacts mental health.

  • Collaboration: we will work together to identify ways for you to find more purpose, passion, and enjoyment in life.

Deciding to seek therapy and identifying a suitable therapist is personal and important. For this reason, I offer a complimentary phone consultation to explore how I may be able to meet your needs.

Curious about dance/movement therapy?

The American Dance Therapy Association (adta.org) defines dance/movement therapy (DMT) as "the psychotherapeutic use of movement to promote emotional, social, cognitive, and physical integration of the individual, for the purpose of improving health and well-being". In short, DMT is a modality utilizing the body as the tool to foster health, wellness, and healing in an individual.

When you work with me, we may never move or we may dance with full expression, but this is based on you. These are your sessions and I am here to help you make the changes you are seeking. Let’s work together (and maybe we’ll dance in the process).
